Torture
I'm getting physically sick reading about how we, as Americans, tortured. I've resolved to stop reading about it, but I really do not respect Obama right now. We need to have Bush, Cheney, etc. tried for war crimes.

This isn't politics. This is ethics. They tortured people for no reason, and if we do not put them on trial... I don't know. But it isn't the USA I signed up for, and believe in.

Perhaps that will help you sleep better at night. There were things that I documented in the military that were pretty upsetting. I had to put a lot of distance between me and it. It took years. Our photo lab produced documentation for trials for violent crimes/autopsies--which tells you more than you need to know. I know the documentation for some things, like child abuse, I can't get anywhere near -- too close to home. I stick to the environment which does keep me awake at night sometimes--but doesn't make me feel ill. (perhaps if I knew more, I would) Be well.
